New facility in Mayberry Hills update:

We are kicking off our capital campaign to build our new facility which will be located in Mayberry Hills in Moneta (www.downtownmoneta.com). The first phase of the project, the aquatics center will include a six-lane competitive pool, a water therapy pool, a family recreational facility with a spray park and big slide. Other sections will include locker rooms, offices and a child observation area. The second phase will be a teen center and child care facility. "We are still in the silent phases of the capital campaign....it has to be done right, and done efficiently," Mary Jo Boone, Director and CEO said.

The campaign's steering committee is busy looking at plans for fundraising but also looking at naming opportunities for segments and features of the new YMCA, such as rooms named in honor of donors. "We have a very excited, and very involved steering committee," Boone said. We are ready to work and get this facility built! When finished, the Moneta YMCA will be about 23,000 square feet, with plenty of space to accommodate a growing membership and programs.
