The Bedford Area Family YMCA day campers are able to explore creativity, teamwork, and leadership with a wide range of physically active programs that influence lifelong healthy living. They have the opportunity to enjoy an outdoor environment where they develop an appreciation of nature. YMCA Day Camp offers children positive developmental experiences and encourages them to form relationships with each other and with staff, building confidence through skill-building activities suited to their age.
Today, Day Camp is more vital than ever, with an increased emphasis on child safety, summer learning traditions, values, and social skills.
Weekly activities are created based on the themes and field trips. With all locations coming together on Friday’s at the Bedford YMCA. FUN FRIDAY’S will tie the whole week together with SPECIAL activities that can include fun competitions between counselors & campers or site & site, awards presentation, magic, vendors, carnival games, at the Bedford YMCA. Swim Lessons are available for a nominal fee.
Field Trips are an additional cash fee each week.

Registration starts March 26th, 2018 and will run the full summer season.
Registration fee is $40 per child and is due with COMPLETED registration forms along with a copy of each child’s birth certificate, physical, and immunization record before registration will be accepted.
To reserve a space, a $25 deposit per child per week must be paid. This deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and
NON-TRANSFERABLE. This deposit will be credited toward each week of attendance.

With the help of the United Way of Central Virginia, financial assistance is available.
|Payment Plan A – Weekly (2017-2018 school year) There are 38 weeks of child care provided during the school year. After School: $53 per week per child Week of 11/20 & 1/1 are prorated at $22 and the week of 12/18 is prorated at $33 Registration fee is $25 per child Payment due by 6pm each Monday|
|Payment Plan B – Monthly (2017-2018 school year) After School: $202 ($10 discount) Aug., Dec., & Apr. are prorated at $152 Remaining monthly payments of $202 (Sept, Oct, Nov, Jan, Feb, Mar, and May) Registration fee is $25 per child Payment due by the 15th of every month|
|Payment Plan C – Part-time Punch Card (2017-2018 school year) $160 for 10 Punches (days) Punch cards expire at the end of each school year. There is a $25 registration fee per child.|
