May 1st the fee will rise to $60.
The Bedford Area Family YMCA day campers are able to explore creativity, teamwork, and leadership with a wide range of physically active programs that influence lifelong healthy living. They have the opportunity to enjoy an outdoor environment where they develop an appreciation of nature. YMCA Day Camp offers children positive developmental experiences and encourages them to form relationships with each other and with staff, building confidence through skill-building activities suited to their age.
Today, Day Camp is more vital than ever, with an increased emphasis on child safety, summer learning traditions, values, and social skills.
Weekly activities are created based on the themes. FUN FRIDAY’S will tie the whole week together with SPECIAL activities that can include fun competitions, awards presentations, carnival games, and more at the Bedford YMCA.

The 2025 BAFY Kids’ Club Summer Day Camp will open May 27 and run through August 8 ages 5 to 12 years old. We are excited to offer offering care for those students who are enrolled in the Bedford County Public School Summer Extended Learning Program (summer school) as well! Camp hours are 7am to 6pm for the full day, Extended Learners will join after their school day has ended. We do not offer part day options other than for BCPS Extended Learners.
The Registration fee is $60 per child and is due with COMPLETED registration forms along with a copy of each child’s birth certificate, physical, and immunization record before registration will be accepted. Bedford Area Family YMCA memberships that cover the enrolled child have a 5% discount.
Please understand that we cannot accept paperwork that is incomplete. We cannot pull information off past registrations and all information is needed to enroll.
No registration will accepted if there is a balance on the account.
This includes DSS accounts.
Registrations may take up to a week to be entered, no child will be accepted without a completed registration that has been entered.
Once your child(ren) is/are registered you are responsible for that week’s payment regardless of attendance. The rate is not reduced for absences. To unenroll a week you registered for you must contact Vanessa at [email protected] to give a 2-week notice. Informing the site staff is not an acceptable way to remove the week and will not be taken into consideration.

EFT’s have no additional fees. Credit/debit cards will have fees based on the charge amount – $0-$50=$1.25, $50.01-100=$2.50, $100.01-$250=$5, $250.01-$500=$10, $500.01+=$15
